JLL UK Retail comments on latest Kantar Worldpanel grocery figures


 

London, 4th May 2016- Commenting on the latest Kantar Worldpanel grocery share figures, Tim Vallance, head of JLL UK Retail said: “The latest Grocery share figures show two particularly interesting things: the sales growth of the Co-Operative and the fall in sales being seen by Morrisons as a result of their shrinking store space. The Co-Op has adopted a strategy focused on convenience from both a time and location perspective and it appears to be paying off. The impact that Morrisons shrinking convenience store portfolio is having on their growth highlights the importance of store location. In an increasingly virtual world, convenience is king.”
