JLL UK Retail comments on latest Kantar Worldpanel grocery figures

​London, 5th April 2016- Commenting on the latest Kantar Worldpanel grocery share figures, Tim Vallance, head of JLL UK Retail said: “The figures highlight the importance of convenience. While the bigger stores stayed closed on Easter Sunday, the Co-Operative saw the opportunity to remain open. It’s interesting that Sainsbury’s reduction in multi-buy promotions has not dampened its retail performance and highlights that the grocery sector may be moving away from the ‘price wars’ and towards more focus on innovation. Sainsbury’s acquisition of Argos and the Amazon and Morrisons fulfilment deal could set interesting precedents for the future.”
