Opportunity in Glasgow suited for residential use
GLASGOW, 23 February 2016 - A closing date has been set for a key development opportunity on the site of a former NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde facility.
Suited to residential development and supporting uses, the 6.25 acre site in Glasgow's Ruchill was once home to the Orchard Wards. The site is being marketed by JLL on behalf of NHSGGC with offers invited until the closing date of Thursday 3 March at 10am.
The opportunity neighbours the grounds of the former Ruchill Hospital, which is expected to be released to market in the future.

The former hospital buildings have now been demolished to allow the future developer a clear site.
The surrounding area is largely residential with a range of local amenities including cafes, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities. Hill Park Primary School is nearby, offering state-of-the-art education facilities.
There are strong rail links to Glasgow city centre via Possilpark, Parkhouse and Kelvinbridge while there is a regular bus service. The M8 motorway is also located close by.
