JLL goes to the House of Lords....

Lead Director of JLL’s Planning and Development team gave evidence to the Select Committee on the Built Environment

Last Thursday, JLL's Head of Planning and Development, Guy Bransby, gave evidence to the House of Lords Select Committee on the Built Environment.

The Committee has one key task: to review existing policy that impacts the built environment and consider how to improve it. The Committee, which is made up of cross bench peers, is to report its findings by March next year and is currently taking evidence from industry experts.

Questions included focus on planning policy and its impact on housing delivery, development viability, place making and revitalisation of the high street.

Guy Bransby commented: "It was a great opportunity to suggest ideas on how to improve the planning system and to play a part in the formation of policy. It's a reminder of the central role that planning plays across many sectors, particularly in housing, retail and infrastructure."
