Sale of 66 Queen Square, Bristol, scoops Property Deal of the Year at South West Business Insider Awards

One of Bristol's most high profile office developments has scooped two awards at last night's Insider South West Property Awards, including the prestigious title of Property Deal of the Year.

66 Queen Square66 Queen Square, the new home of KPMG in the city, was sold for £32.7million by JLL and Alder King on behalf of Skanska.  The 61,500 sq ft building has outstanding green credentials including a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’, a characteristic that also assisted in generating further interest in the sale, with investors increasingly searching for “future proofed” buildings.

Simon Bennett from JLL who advised on the sale, said “It’s great to see this deal triumph at last night’s award ceremony. The sale of 66 Queen Square is arguably the most high profile and important  prime office investment transaction of the last 12 months in Bristol. “

The judges’ also commented that the deal was ‘a fantastic story of great design being hugely commercial’.
