LONDON, 30th September 2015 – JLL’s Retail Management team has won the instruction from Queensberry Real Estate to manage the Friars Walk centre in Newport.
The 390,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and food and beverage offering is due to open on 12th November this year and will include a full offer Debenhams department store, an 8 screen Cineworld multiplex cinema and a wide ranges of shops including Next, H&M, River Island, Top Shop, New Look and Marks and Spencer. Usk Plaza, the leisure section of the scheme, will be home to 11 family restaurants including Le Bistrot Pierre, Loungers, GBK, Prezzo, Nandos and Frankie and Benny’s. Friars Walk will be supported by a new 350 space car park and bus station.
JLL also manage Kingsway Shopping centre in Newport for Queensberry a centre managed since 2004. The 250,000 sq ft shopping centre is located in the centre of Newport and has previously undergone redevelopment, including the construction of a new multi-storey car park.
