Manchester

One of the most significant development and investment opportunities comes to the market

Jones Lang LaSalle instructed on 670 hectares in Carrington

Manchester, 10 April 2013 - Jones Lang LaSalle is bringing a 670 hectare site in Carrington, Greater Manchester to the market, on behalf of its client, Shell.

The site is one of the most significant development and investment opportunities in the UK and presents a unique opportunity to create a new residential community, alongside new high quality employment development.

The site has the potential to deliver 75 hectares of employment land and over 1500 residential dwellings as part of a mixed use scheme.  The scale of the opportunity will allow for a sustainable high quality scheme that will deliver economic growth and will bring benefits for the neighbouring communities of Partington and Carrington, as well as to the rest of Greater Manchester.

Councillor Matt Colledge, Leader of Trafford Council said: “The Council has identified Carrington in its Local Plan and is looking forward to working with any new purchaser to deliver this opportunity.

“The Council and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) Investment Team will be supporting Shell and their selected purchaser throughout the process to bring forward this exciting development opportunity”.

John Lafferty, Associate Director, Planning and Development, at Jones Lang LaSalle in Manchester is advising Shell.
