AXA Insurance becomes first tenant to sign up for 21 Queen Street in Leeds

LEEDS, 14 SEPTEMBER 2015 - AXA Insurance has become the first named occupier at Formal Investments’ 21 Queen Street in Leeds. The insurance firm will occupy the entire top floor of the building, comprising 6,900 sq ft, on a ten year lease.

21 Queen Street has been transformed by the addition of two new floors along with full height glazing to the front and rear of the reworked lower floors. With AXA Insurance on the fifth floor, 30,000 sq ft of grade A office space is available on five flexible floor plates. Joint leasing agents are JLL and CBRE.

Formal Investments director Nicholas King said: "We are very pleased our vision for 21 Queen Street is now being realised. We made a significant investment in the building and this has been rewarded by a company of AXA Insurance's calibre choosing to relocate here."

The developer and joint agents JLL and CBRE are confident that further tenants will soon be joining AXA at the Leeds' central business district building.

Richard Thornton, Director at joint letting agent JLL, added: "We are currently negotiating with other interested parties and hope to announce further deals in the near future."
