Property 5k raises £20,000 for charity partner Starlight

Runners from across the property industry don their trainers for a good cause

Over 1000 industry professionals registered for the annual popular summer Property 5 K event in Regent's Park which took place yesterday.

A few grey clouds and a bit of rain failed to dampen the carnival atmosphere as runners enjoyed a warm up before heading off on the 5 kilometre run. The fastest overall time was taken by Andrew Mercer from Legal & General who finished the race in an impressive 00:16:30 and defended his Masters title for the third year running.

The event raised £20,000 for JLL's charity Starlight. The charity brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by wish granting and also by providing fun, entertainment, laughter and distraction for children in every children's hospital ward and hospice throughout the United Kingdom.

The winners in each category are listed below:

Men Under 40

Alan Silvester, JLL, 16.54

Women Under 40

Amy Bryant, Gerald Eve, 20.05

Men Over 40

Andrew Mercer, Legal & General, 16.30

Women Over 40

Emma Huepfl, JCRA Laxfield, 20.3

Guy Grainger, JLL UK Chief Executive, commented: "It's fantastic to see so many colleagues taking part in this healthy initiative which has raised significant funds for our charity partner, Starlight. Our People and our Communities are two areas that we're really committed to supporting through our sustainability programme Building for Tomorrow, and it's events like these which really bring that programme to life."
