Prime residential development opportunity in Newton Mearns

Closing date set for offers on land next to Avenue shopping centre

GLASGOW, 28 July 2015 – Residential developers have less than a month to submit offers on a prime location in one of Scotland's most affluent suburbs.

Located in Newton Mearns, on the outskirts of Glasgow, the 1.3 acre site is suited to the development of exclusive flats and is being brought to market by JLL. A closing date of 26 August at 12pm has been set.

Situated on land on Ayr Road, the site was once the home of Mearns Primary School and sits next to the Avenue shopping centre.

The development land is within the catchment area for a number of Scotland's best ranked schools, including Mearns Castle High School, St Ninian's High School, Kirkhill Primary School and St Cadoc's Primary School. The private Belmont House School is located just off Ayr Road.
