Second significant pre-let announced at 6 Wellington Place in Leeds

Equifax makes move to support its business growth

LEEDS, 21 July 2015 - Equifax, the business insights expert, is relocating its Bradford office to Leeds. The move to the centre of the UK’s second largest centre for financial services * will support the continued growth of the Equifax business.

Equifax will move in to 19,784 sq ft of office space at 6 Wellington Place when the building is completed in January 2016. The building will provide first-rate facilities for staff and clients and has been described as one of the biggest and most prestigious new city centre business developments in Leeds.

The Leeds office will be home to 190 staff who will benefit from state of the art facilities including urban gardens, exercise classes and a 5-a-side floodlit football pitch. The teams relocating include IT and data operations, as well as those which provide business analytics, insights and services for clients across the UK.

This high-tech development in such a prominent location is an attractive and fantastically well-equipped working environment for our existing team. This new facility will help us to retain the amazing talent we have already as well as allow us to attract a future pool of new talent to the business.  

James Dipple, Chief Executive of property investment and development firm MEPC, which manages 6 Wellington Place, added: “This is the second significant pre-let at 6 Wellington Place, further demonstrating the demand being seen in the Leeds market for quality facilities. We welcome Equifax to the Wellington Place community, which is already home to a number of other leading companies such as SkyBet, Shulmans, Towers Watson, Irwin Mitchell and Allianz.”

Jeff Pearey from JLL, letting agents at 6 Wellington Place, concluded: “This latest letting to Equifax is a real endorsement for the scheme and, with just two floors remaining in No 6,  confirms Wellington Place as one of the best business addresses in Leeds."

Situated on the newest public square in Leeds, Tower Square, 6 Wellington Place will feature a floor to ceiling atrium, roof terrace, retail space and an ideal location, just 400m from Leeds City train station. It forms part of the 22 acre Wellington Place development, being managed by MEPC and jointly owned by Hermes Investment Management and Canada Pension Plan Investment Partnership (CPPIB).
