Following the launch of JLL's Working Parents' Network, the firm has successfully completed its first 'bring your child to work day.'
The day was designed to give the children of JLL employees a taste of working life in an international real estate firm. The children, aged between 11 and 13, learned what a surveyor does, developed business skills through a team building exercise and participated in a 'building inspection' tour of the Warwick Street office.
It was available to children of all employees which gave parents and children a great opportunity to network across a range of departments. JLL's Working Parents' Network, established to provide support and encouragement for working parents, is one of several internal networks set up by employees. It is an essential part of JLL's diversity and inclusion strategy.
Pam Duke, Diversity Programme Manager at JLL, commented: "It was great to see so many children in the office getting a real insight into what their parents do at work whilst learning the importance of networking and team working."
