City's first speculative scheme in years completes

Bentley Bridge Business Park in Wolverhampton already attracting new occupiers

Birmingham, 20 April 2015 - Construction of the first speculatively built small unit scheme in Wolverhampton since the recession has now completed at Bentley Bridge Business Park.

The development, which is located off Wednesfield Road in Wolverhampton, has units which range from 5,000 to 33,000 sq ft.

Phase 2 is being developed by Clowes Developments UK and is expected to attract interest from the retail trade counter sector and from smaller e-tailing, warehouse and manufacturing firms.  It follows on from the development of Phase I which is fully let to manufacturer Donghua (UK), Euro Car Parts and Principal Hygiene among others.

James Richards, of Clowes Developments UK, said: "For some time, we have seen the property market strengthening and we are happy to have now completed the speculative development of phase 2 Bentley Bridge Business Park. To date, we are very pleased with the interest we have received in the scheme and are confident that we can now offer a product that will be well received by the market."

Steven Jaggers, from joint agents JLL, added: “Having received strong interest from the outset and with two buildings currently under offer, it demonstrates that construction of phase two of Bentley Bridge was the right decision for Clowes.”

DTZ and JLL are joint marketing agents on Bentley Bridge Business Park.
