JLL UK Retail comments on first ever Google store opening


In response to the announcement that Google is to open their first store, James Brown, Head of European Retail Research, commented: “Google’s decision to open its first ever store highlights the importance of physical space alongside a virtual offering. Through offering classes and tutorials in the new store, Google is demonstrating an integrated marketing approach between the physical and virtual, and providing an experiential retail ‘place’. Brand and identity are increasingly important attributes for retailers in a world where consumers are time poor and faced with a crowded market place.”
