The Southbank’s Palace View residential site comes to market

London, 26 January 2015 - A unique site on the Southbank of the River Thames which has planning consent for a 94,000 sq ft residential development is being brought to the market by JLL and Levy Real Estate.

The Palace View site is adjacent to the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lambeth Palace and has consent for 55 luxury apartments, 14 affordable housing units, 7,900 sq ft of retail/office space plus other amenities including a gym, cinema and communal gardens. Levy Real Estate and JLL have been appointed by the site’s owners, RER, to market the site.

Will Grant, Residential Director at JLL comments: “The site is truly unique and as residential developments go, represents a relatively low-risk prospect for interested parties.”

Levy Real Estate Residential Partner, Matt Sharman adds: “RER have designed a fabulous scheme with unspoilt views of Lambeth Palace, The Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Shard. It provides a great opportunity to develop a landmark building in an area where values continue to rise.

“The site is being sold with vacant possession meaning that an immediate start on site can be made.”

The Palace View is expected to attract strong interest from both domestic and overseas purchasers on the back of the wider regeneration taking place along the Southbank. RER London is a new property development and investment company led by Tim Farrow and Martin Simms who have extensive expertise across the industry.

The company has access to funding along with the resources and expertise to purchase and deliver the most effective and valuable solutions for residential and commercial property schemes in London and the South of England. It is actively seeking further market opportunities.
