JLL becomes first property company to partner with the Vitality World Triathlon London 2015

JLL is partnering with the Vitality World Triathlon London for this year’s ITU (International Triathlon Union) World Triathlon Series in May at the 2012 London venue in Hyde Park.


LONDON, JANUARY 2015 - Real estate company, JLL is partnering with the Vitality World Triathlon London for this year’s ITU (International Triathlon Union) World Triathlon Series in May at the 2012 London venue in Hyde Park.

JLL, the world leading real estate services and investment business will invite clients and employees to take part in an exciting relay race which will challenge guests to be the ‘best they can be’ in Hyde Park. International ITU athletes and coaches will be active in encouraging and training JLL stakeholders on their training journey.

Speaking on the partnership, Guy Grainger, Chief Executive of JLL commented: “Triathlon is the fastest growing sport in the UK and we are proud to be the first property firm to enter into a partnership with Vitality World Triathlon London and further our association with the sport. We already have a strong connection through our well-established charitable triathlon events and sponsorship of double world champion, Helen Jenkins. The beauty of the triathlon is its inclusivity. It is a sport that people of all ages, backgrounds and ability can participate in.”

These sentiments were echoed by Tim Stemp, Managing Director of event organisers, Lagardère Unlimited Events UK, who said: “The World Triathlon Series is an exciting, premium, global event series and we are delighted to welcome JLL as a partner that shares the same values. We look forward to engaging JLL clients and employees to empower personal and professional performance that raises charitable funds.”

Jon Ridgeon, British Triathlon's Director for Major and National Events added: “The Vitality World Triathlon London is a hugely important shop window for British Triathlon and therefore we are delighted the event is going from strength to strength, as demonstrated with JLL coming on board. I look forward to welcoming JLL’s clients and employees to Hyde Park as they join over 5,000 participants at the iconic triathlon venue on 30 and 31 May.”

Widely regarded as the UK’s most prestigious triathlon, the Vitality World Triathlon London is now in its sixth year and will once again welcome over 5,000 participants of all abilities, as well as the world’s best triathletes and paratriathletes, to take part in the fifth stop of the ITU World Triathlon Series. The events on offer include the new Tri it distance (400m swim, 10k bike, 2.5k run), Sprint (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run), Olympic (1.5k swim, 40km bike, 10k run) and the Team Relay option.

The Vitality World Triathlon London, organised by British Triathlon and Lagardère Unlimited Events UK, is delivered in partnership with UK Sport, through its National Lottery funded Gold Event Series, Mayor of London,Royal Parks and London & Partners.
