JLL UK appoints two new senior sustainability directors

Alfonso Ponce-Alvarez and Darren Berman


London, 5th January 2015 JLL UK has appointed two new sustainability directors, Alfonso Ponce-Alvarez and Darren Berman. Alfonso joins the firm as director in JLL’s UK Occupier Consulting team. He was previously head of Sustainability at Deloitte France. Darren joins as director in JLL’s Upstream Sustainability team from CBRE where he headed-up their Energy and Sustainability Consulting practice.

Commenting on Alfonso’s appointment, Shelley Frost, head of Occupier Consulting at JLL, said: “Alfonso will be delivering a full range of business consultancy services including performance and optimisation services to retailers and corporate companies and working very closing with related JLL business lines such as Upstream Sustainability Services, Buildings & Construction and Retail. He has significant experience in delivering value for large corporates and is also a published author and leading advisor in sustainability and EU regulatory frameworks which will be of great benefit to us in expanding our client offering.”

Jont Cole, lead director, Upstream Sustainability Services at JLL, commented: “I am delighted that such an experienced and senior sustainability property professional is joining JLL. Darren will be supporting investors to manage their energy and sustainability risks, as well as focusing on the delivery of sustainability services to corporate clients.
