JLL unveils newly revamped London office headquarters

JLL has unveiled its newly designed Warwick Street flagship headquarters in London’s West End.


​London, 20th November 2014 – JLL has unveiled its newly designed Warwick Street flagship headquarters in London’s West End. Commenting on the revamped offices, Guy Grainger, JLL UK CEO, said: “JLL takes the wellbeing of our employees very seriously and places a great deal of importance on initiatives that support and encourage this. We continually strive to ensure that we provide a supportive environment for our workforce and are always looking to exceed staff expectations in this area. Our new Warwick Street space reflects our evolving and diverse company culture and it has been designed to inspire our employees, increase productivity, nurture talent and offer them a sense of pride in their workplace.”

Kane Wagstaff, head of JLL’s Cost Management team, added: “This project has been an excellent example of how our Project and Cost Management teams worked together to deliver fast track projects on time and on budget. They provided the perfect interface between our internal stakeholder committee and the design and construction expertise of Tétris. Not only have they helped the business transform it’s working environment they are now enjoying the fruits of their labour as occupiers of the new space – a spectacular win-win!”

Richard Harris, managing director of Tétris, which both designed and fitted-out JLL’s new office continued: “We carried out the refurbishment project in an occupied building with minimal disruption to the operating business and delivered within budget to a very high standard. Our new office design enables people across all areas of the business to easily integrate with one another which we hope will improve lines of communication and increase cross-selling opportunities. A new Collaboration Zone is a working example of this in action. We have maximised working space and storage areas by integrating agile working space with fixed desks. A number of new meeting rooms have also been created with facilities ranging from a simple conference phone, through to full LCD screen facilities with Apple TV. In addition, we have created two new Pitch Rooms with the additional facilities of a writeable wall and uniquely styled furniture to produce an environment more akin to creative thinking.”

A large Creative Zone has been introduced which can be used for flexible working, team meetings and/or for smaller group meetings. Quiet Rooms have also been included to make it possible for staff to find an appropriate space for confidential telephone calls, small telephone conference calls or simply space for concentration. JLL’s headquarters also houses a new coffee bar run by external company Department of Coffee and Social Affairs, which provides the firm’s staff, clients, guests and JLL hosts with a range of refreshments and space to hold meetings.

Guy Grainger concluded: “The office has much more of a “buzz” about it and there is definitely more communication between teams. Generally, people seem very enthused about showing the space to existing and new clients alike. It’s still early days but the new space has had a very positive effect on productivity so far, with an increased emphasis on teamwork and collaboration and we are very pleased with the results.”
