Over 200 Jones Lang LaSalle employees give their time to ‘Give & Gain’

London, 20 May, 2013 – On Friday, 17th May over 200 employees across the UK took part in the annual Give and Gain Day, in which employees are encouraged to give their time to local charities.

Give and Gain Day is the UK’s only national day of volunteering. The day is designed to make volunteering fun and accessible and to encourage workplaces to allow employees to volunteer during work time.

Jones Lang LaSalle has taken part in Give and Gain for the past three years. This year employees from the Property & Asset Management Client Accounts teams worked on the refurbishment of a homeless shelter with St Mungo’s in Bristol, helped to paint and garden for East End Homes in London and lent a hand to Camphill Commuities, running activities in the garden and farm of Thornage Hall in East Anglia, a centre for people with special needs.

Neil Worrall, Director of Property and Asset Management at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “It is fantastic that this year has seen the biggest ever number of employees from Jones Lang LaSalle taking part in this worthy day. Over 200 employees in London, Norwich and Bristol have been able to give their time to important local causes and have really got their hands dirty painting and digging. Not only is it a great way of giving something back to the local area it also provides personal and professional development and creates an excellent link between employers and the wider community.”
