Imperial College London and Voreda reveal plans to deliver £200 million Research and Translation Hub

JLL acted as lead planning consultant for the site in White City, London


​London based real estate developer, Voreda has exchanged contracts with Imperial College London to develop a £200 million Research and Translation Hub at the new Imperial West innovation district in White City, west London. JLL acted as lead planning consultant for the the Hub on behalf of Voreda and Imperial College London.

The 48,000 sq m Hub consisting of laboratory and office space will provide first rate education, research and translation activities and nurture relationships with world stakeholders across business, education, industry and the NHS. Acting as the centrepiece of the new Imperial West innovation district, the premises will be suitable for scientific start-ups to large well established technology companies.

Guy Bransby, lead director of Planning & Development at JLL, said: “We have been working with Voreda and Imperial College London since 2010 acting as lead consultant for the redevelopment of the Imperial West site. This is an exciting project and we are thrilled to have securred permission for such a major development aiding the delivery of first rate research and innovation to benefit people and the global economy.”

Construction of the Hub will begin in September 2014 with a completion date of summer 2016.
