Jiu-Jitsu academy takes last unit at East Moors Business Park

CARDIFF, 30 July 2014 – East Moors Business Park in Cardiff has secured its final tenant in a deal completed by leading property consultancy JLL.

Unit 9, which totals 1,275 sq ft, has been let to Rob Taylor Jiu-Jitsu Academy which has plans to use the property for its Brazilian jiu-jitsu lessons. Run by black-belt British Open Champion, Rob Taylor, the space has been let on a new five year lease following a change of use from industrial to leisure (D2 planning).

East Moors Business Park comprises ten modern industrial units totalling circa 25,000 sq ft. The business park is located just off East Moors Road within Ocean Park, which is just one mile south of the city centre and has excellent links to key commuter routes.

Rob Taylor said: “This unit is exactly what I was looking for, both in terms of location and space, so I’m delighted to have found a new home here. The landlord was happy for me to change any of the non-original parts of the building to suit my requirements so it will soon be a bright and open space for me to host my classes.”

Heather Lawrence, senior surveyor at JLL added: “East Moors Business Park is ideally situated for businesses of all sorts as it is so close to Cardiff city centre and key commuter routes. These units are extremely flexible and can suit a wide variety of businesses, as demonstrated by the upcoming arrival of Mr Taylor’s business.”

Unit 9 East Moors Business Park was marketed by joint agents JLL and Jenkins Best who were instructed by Charnwood Group.

Henry Best, director at Jenkins Best, said: “There has been an increase in demand for well-located industrial units in close proximity to Cardiff city centre, including those at East Moors Business Park, so it is no surprise that the site is now fully let.”
