Safestyle takes office space at Rising Bridge Business Village

Double-glazing manufacturer moves to Lancashire office park

Manchester, 24 June, 2014 - The office agency team at JLL has let a 2,517 sq ft unit at Rising Bridge Business Village in Rossendale on behalf of the landlord Lancashire County Council.

Double-glazing manufacturer Safestyle, which operates from 39 branches across the UK, will occupy Unit 4 at the park on a 10-year lease as a new regional office for 45 staff operating throughout the region.

Rising Bridge consists of nine two-storey self-contained office buildings, with dedicated on-site parking, and is located off the A56 with links to M65, M66 and M60.

Richard Wharton, office agency director at JLL, said: “The Business Village has been developed to a high-quality specification with the site achieving a BREEAM excellent rating for sustainable design, meaning occupiers benefit from particularly low running costs.

"While demand in the market continues to grow, we expect the site to attract more large businesses like Safestyle looking for regional offices in addition to expanding local companies looking to either lease or purchase.”

Jennifer Mein, leader of Lancashire County Council, said: “We're delighted to welcome Safestyle, a well-established large business, to our development at Rising Bridge. This will bring new jobs into the area, creating new opportunities for local people.
"We hope that this will be a great environment in which Safestyle's business can continue to grow and prosper.

"The fact that Safestyle are creating a regional office at Rising Bridge, reinforces our view that this is an attractive, high-quality business development in an excellent location."

Daniel Cooper Smart of Safestyle commented: “Exciting times ahead for Safestyle UK. Business is going from strength to strength and still growing. We chose Rising Bridge Business Village for our new offices as we thought it would be the perfect hub to continue our expansion. It’s a good location with great facilities and motorway links. We also hope to help the local area by generating lots of new job opportunities.”

Councillor Andy MacNae of Rossendale Borough Council added: "The development has been a great benefit to the local area and as it continues to attract new tenants. We are very much in support of the Business Village and the overall contribution it is making to local economic growth.
