Simon Latson has joined JLL’s Residential Building Consultancy London team as Director.

London, 16th May 2014 – Simon Latson has joined JLL’s Residential Building Consultancy London team as Director.

Simon joins from Deloitte Real Estate where he was Director in the Residential Projects team. In his 13 years at Deloitte, Simon specialised in residential property working with clients in the affordable housing, private housing and student housing sectors across instructions from feasibility, building pathology and asset management advice to development monitoring, project management and contract administration of new build and refurbishment schemes.

At JLL Simon will be responsible for leading the Residential Building Consultancy team, providing building surveying and project management services across the whole property life cycle to the full spectrum of residential providers.  This includes all housing sectors, student accommodation, investors, funders, managers and occupiers in both the private and public sectors.

Rob Knight, Head of Building Consultancy at JLL, said: “Simon’s arrival at JLL comes at a perfect time for us; complimenting the firm’s continued growth in the residential sector. We have been getting an increasing number of enquiries from clients asking about alternatives and the residential elements of commercial schemes and Simon’s knowledge of the market and track record in delivering complex assignments in this sector will be invaluable.”

Richard Petty, Lead Director of Affordable Housing at JLL, commented: “Many of our housing clients need rounded and proactive asset management advice to get the best out of their assets.   Valuation advice therefore goes hand in hand with advice on the costs of development, repair and maintenance, and Simon’s expertise means we can add real value to our clients.  We are delighted to be able to continue our long established working relationship with Simon.”
