JLL lands top North West industrial award

And is named runner up in Property Deal of the Year category

MANCHESTER, 16th May 2014 – JLL was named Industrial Agent of the Year at last night’s 2014 North West Insider Property Awards.

The publisher also awarded JLL the runner up prize in the Property Deal of the Year category for advising Shell on the sale of its former Carrington site, which was the largest land transaction in the UK in 2013.

JLL’s Manchester based industrial and logistics team, led by director Dan Burn, advised on some of the region’s most significant deals last year, including three out of the four design and build transactions that took place.

In total, the team completed over 119 deals totalling more than 3.5 million sq ft of space and ranked as the North West’s most active industrial agent.

Commenting on the award, Dan Burn – who was recently shortlisted for Insider’s Young Professional in Property award - said: “This award has capped off a fantastic year for the team and were delighted with the judges comments that our approach makes things happen.

“We capitalised on the market’s return to form in 2013 to complete a huge volume of deals, including many of the year’s stand-out transactions on key strategic schemes like Omega, Logistics North and Airport City.

“So far this year, we’re already on course to outperform 2013 as the market continues to strengthen and with it demand for our leading advice."
