Jones Lang LaSalle celebrates a double win at the 2013 CoreNet UK Awards

London, 4th December, 2013 - Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions team have won two awards at this year’s CoreNet Christmas Awards Ceremony, which took place at Plaisterers’ Hall on Tuesday 3rd December 2013.  AstraZeneca and Jones Lang LaSalle’s Workplace team won the award for Innovation for their iWork programme and JLL-nominated Mark Anderson, Managing Director – Commercial & Property at Whitbread won CRE Exec of the Year.

AstraZeneca and Corporate Solutions’ Workplace team picked up the ‘Innovation Award’ for the success around their customised workplace strategy guidelines for both office and lab space, designed to maximise scientific collaboration for their new R&D lab space whilst maintaining the most efficient space metrics.

Claudia Hamm, Director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Global Workplace team, commented: “This is a well-deserved and wonderful achievement for the team. Until now workplace guidelines have generally only been thought of as a tool for the office environment.  By working together AstraZeneca and Jones Lang LaSalle have created a piece of work we are all very proud of.”

Corporate Real Estate Executive award went to JLL-nominated Mark Anderson at Whitbread, who won on the basis of his outstanding contribution to Whitbread's success, strategically managing a portfolio of mainly freehold properties, maximising returns on assets and leading the company’s expansion adding approximately 1.5m sq ft this year.

Michael Evans, Director in Corporate Solutions, commented: “JLL is delighted that Mark has won this award which recognises the massive contribution that property is making to the growth of Whitbread. Mark and the Whitbread team have successfully leveraged the property industry to enable them to achieve their goals and operate at the heart of the business. At JLL we are proud to have played a part in delivering their growth plans."
