Park Mark in the Meadow: Shopping Centre Wins Car park Safety Award

London, 19th March 2009 - Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre in Wrexham has received the Park Mark Award highlighting the Centre’s efforts to create safer parking for its customers. The Park Mark award (Safer Parking Scheme) is awarded by the British Parking Association and commends parking facilities that have met the high standards and requirements of an assessment carried out by the British Transport Police.

This prestigious national accreditation acknowledges the measures in place to create a safe environment, brightly lit with CCTV cameras monitored continuously by centre security staff giving peace of mind to those using Eagles Meadow.

Simon Pullen, Centre Manager for Eagles Meadow, said: “We are delighted to be awarded this accreditation for our car park. It highlights the Centre’s continued effort to create a safe environment for customers to leave their car while they browse the shops, eat at the restaurants, go bowling or visit the cinema as well as exploring Wrexham town centre in general. Our visitors can now park their cars knowing that the area has been vetted by the Police and has measures in place to create a safe environment. ”

Eagles Meadow successfully reviewed the car park paying equipment last month and continues to offer 970 spaces with safe, quick and easy access for shoppers and visitors to ensure everyone will enjoy their experience of visiting Eagles Meadow.

The shopping centre is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle.
