Jones Lang LaSalle complete on 48,000 sq ft data centre in Milton Keynes

London, 2nd February 2012 - Jones Lang LaSalle acting for Mapeley has sold Brick Close in Milton Keynes to Nuco Technologies Ltd. The 48,000 sq ft purpose built data centre was previously used by a major UK Bank and is situated on a secure 3.2 acre site.

Nuco have assumed operational control of the site to develop a new enterprise grade, Tier IV, network independent facility offering 600 plus rack positions with 4 MW of reserved power. Nuco will be investing £5 million in to the development which will be operational from Q3 2012.

Andrew Bishop, Managing Director at Nuco commented that: “The purchase of this site is a strategic fit for Nuco and complements our existing data centres in Northampton and Bletchley. As an experienced provider of bespoke IT solutions this new site gives customers the flexibility to accommodate single racks or private suites in multiple locations and we are already exploring opportunities with interested clients.”
