Mount Pleaseant Inn up for sale
The Mount Pleasant Inn in central Plymouth is up for sale and will be marketed by the Exeter office of Jones Lang LaSalle.
Situated on Millbay Road, adjacent to the Duke of Cornwall Hotel and the newly developed Studio 5-11 office block, the property is in a prime position, suitable for continued use as a pub-hotel or for complete redevelopment. The property has traditionally been run as a licensed venue, more recently concentrating on functions
.The Mount Pleasant Inn occupies a strategic position overlooking the Plymouth Pavilions which has been highlighted as a major development site for James Brent’s Five Directions Ltd. The property occupies two floors with an overall internal floor area of just under 6000 sq ft. It includes an open plan trading area on the ground floor, plus living and letting accommodation. There is also valuable parking to the side and rear of the site which overall measures 0.24 acres.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s brief includes seeking either the leasehold sale of the site or for a freehold disposal.
Michael Easton, associate director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Exeter office handling the sale, comments:
“This is a prime location in Plymouth offering an attractive opportunity to either new licensees or to developers. The forthcoming development of the Plymouth Pavilions means the area is set to thrive over the next few years, making the Mount Pleasant Inn a solid investment as a licensed venue or an alternative commercial solution. Given the high rise buildings to either side, we feel that subject to the usual consents, significant development could take place on site.” For more information contact Michael Easton 01392 423696 or email@example.com or visit www.jllhotels.com
