News Release

Waitrose sonic boom

London, 23rd February 2009 – Waitrose have signed up on 30,000 sq ft of offices to support their headquarters operation in Bracknell.   The retailer’s requirement for additional office space occurred as a result of the reorganisation and enhancement of the Waitrose's national distribution centre.

Guy Parkes, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Western Corridor office who acquired the offices for Waitrose said: “We were able to satisfy this urgent requirement very swiftly within 2 months of receiving instructions. An off market deal was identified at the nearby Panasonic building in Olbury Road, Bracknell where we were able to agree a very flexible lease for three years with a two year break at an incredible rent which represents superb value for Waitrose and their partners. This deal is very positive news at the start of the year for Bracknell and reinforces its appeal as a major corporate location.”

Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Waitrose and Vail Williams acted on behalf of Panasonic.
