Grass is greener, reports Jones Lang LaSalle

Glasgow, 4 March 2009 - Jones Lang LaSalle appointed to market award winning grass-roofed ‘Wedge’ building, Pollok.
Greater Pollok Properties has instructed Jones Lang LaSalle to secure a tenant for the ground and first floor suites (3,135 sq ft) of the ‘Wedge’.

The building, which won the Roses Design Award for Regeneration in 2006, lies adjacent to Silverburn shopping centre and features the largest sloping grass roof in Scotland.

Jamie Horton, from Jones Lang LaSalle’s Glasgow office said: “The ‘Wedge’ is essentially a community resource for Greater Pollok in the south of Glasgow and offers truly unique office accommodation - naturally ventilated office spaces, with chill-out areas overlooking the triple height glazed entrance foyer.”

The building contains community meeting rooms, day care facilities and a local internet café. The property houses community office facilities designed to accommodate various members of the Scottish and UK Parliaments; the Joint Learning Disability Partnership; Greater Pollok Development Company; Pollok Credit Union; Pollok Community Forum; Healthy Living Initiative and various other local community groups.
