Jones Lang LaSalle’s Leeds’ Agents Ditch Their Razors to Raise Over £2,400 for ‘Movember’

Leeds, 1st December 2009 – After nearly four weeks of arduous beard and moustache growing, the last few days of November have seen a lot of activity on the hirsuteness levels of the 13 members of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Leeds office taking part in Movember (the moustache growing charity event held in November each year).  Overall the team, known as 'Mo Bro Leeds’, has raised over £2,400 for Movember’s men’s health partner – The Prostate Cancer Charity.

Jeff Pearey, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Leeds office, said: “Those of us taking part in Movember started clean shaven on 1st November and have since gone on to successfully grow a wide array of beards, moustaches and goatees. In the spirit of the event we decided for the final few days that some grooming of our facial hair was in order so that everyone sported a moustache.”

Jeff added: “Whilst its has been a bit of laugh in the office for colleagues and those taking part to produce a rash of taches and lamb chop sideburns, it has become apparent just how many people are affected by prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer amongst men in the UK.”

Jeff concluded: “It has been great to take part in this very worthy cause and interesting to see the reaction on our client's faces at recent meetings! That said, I think the taches will be coming off pretty quickly as we move into December.”

Notes to Editors:
Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer.  For more information go to
