Jones Lang LaSalle appointed advisors on Sheffield Data Centre site

London, 17th March 2010 – JF Finnegan, the independent South Yorkshire based developer, announced today their intention to develop a unit at 10-12 Acres Hill Lane, Sheffield into a Data Centre. The site currently comprises a recently completed shell only building of 15,000 sq ft, which will offer 10,000 sq ft of technical floor space on completion of the fit out with a dedicated power supply of 3.5 MVA. Jones Lang LaSalle is the retained advisor on the project.

Charlie Carden, Associate Director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Data Centre Advisory Group, said: “We are delighted we have been able to identify this opportunity on behalf of JF Finnegan who will be well placed to deliver secure, resilient and cost effective data storage space in South Yorkshire when the development completes.”

Nick Gillott of JF Finnegan, said: “With limited availability in terms of similar sites across South Yorkshire we consider this a fantastic opportunity to re-develop this existing scheme into a Data Centre. During the course of this development we will invest £9 million into the local community, from construction to technical IT space which on completion will provide quality IT storage solutions.”
