Jones Lang LaSalle serve up 5 star service for Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel

London, 8 June 2010 – Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project & Development Services (P&DS) team has acted as both Project and Cost Manager for the refurbishment of 5 star Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel in London.
171 bedrooms were refurbished along with the member’s lounge, entrance lobby and public areas.  In addition, the Burlington Bar was refurbished into a new destination bar, 'Longitude 0.8' for Starman Hotels.
Chris Brill-Edwards, Director of Construction at Starwood Capital Group Europe, said: “Challenged with tight timelines and a fixed budget, Jones Lang LaSalle’s P&DS team took up the reins of this project and ran.  Playing the true role of a project manager the Jones Lang LaSalle team lead not only the contractors but also seamlessly coordinated the consultant team and the procurement agent’s FF&E supply.  I look forward to our next successful project together.”
Toby Wait, Head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s P&DS Hotels team, added: “Through Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project Management expertise, all refurbishment works were completed whilst the hotel was in full occupation.  The works comprised part of a larger refurbishment strategy which was being undertaken by the hotel.  The team managed the works within a very tight deadline, driven by the Client's wish to sell their interest in the hotel, which is currently being handled by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.”
