Top British Sculler Alan Campbell Warms Up for 2012

JLL Sponsored Campbell takes first position in Wingfields Sculls Race

London, 31st  August 2010 – Olympic medal contender Alan Campbell won the historic 180th Wingfields Sculls race on Tuesday 24th August, finishing the race in 22 minutes and 35 seconds with a significant winning margin of almost a minute in very windy conditions.

The Wingfield Sculls is a race held annually on the river Thames in London on the same 4¼ mile (6.8 km) Championship Course from Putney to Mortlake, famously used for the annual Oxbridge Boat race.

Andrew Hynard, Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle England which sponsors Alan Campbell, said: “This is another fantastic win for Alan, and we hope this victory bodes well for the 2012 games. The Wingfield is an incredibly tough race and this is a prestigious sculling event to champion. Alan will be the official starter of next Thursday's Jones Lang LaSalle 5k Fun Run in Regent's Park, in which over 200 colleagues and friends will be taking part.”
