Jones Lang LaSalle takes top spot in Office Agency Rankings for fifth year running

According to independent CoStar Thames Valley survey

London, 18th October 2010 – For the fifth consecutive year, Jones Lang LaSalle has been ranked the most active office agency team in the Thames Valley region according to newly released figures from an independent survey.

According to CoStar’s Thames Valley Office Agency League table published in Property Week magazine today, for the period from 1st September 2009 - 31st August 2010, Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Office Agency team has scooped both the most active disposal agent and office availability award categories.  The team disposed of 355,400 sq ft of office space, giving it a market share of 8.5%, and was ranked in first place for the total amount of office space (over 2 million sq ft) the team is instructed to market across the region.
The CoStar result follows on from the recent EGi database team’s Thames Valley league table of deals, published in Estates Gazette magazine on 2nd October 2010, which revealed Jones Lang LaSalle to be the winning firm having transacted 358,150 sq ft in 23 deals for the period 1 Augusts 2009 to 31 July 2010.

James Finnis, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Office Agency team, said: “To have maintained our market share, in what remains a tough occupational market is fantastic news for the team and our clients and we are again justifiably proud of our first place rankings in both CoStar’s and EGi’s latest Thames Valley league table.

“Take-up activity in Thames Valley improved significantly over the second quarter of this year and, whilst most demand is still being driven by lease events, there has been some expansionary demand from the ITT sector.  On the whole improving activity levels mean that 2010 is already in a better position in comparison to last year and we are forecasting that take-up will continue to pick up over 2011.”

Guy Parkes, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Western Corridor Region, added: “With our unique combination of on the ground local expertise and a collaborative national approach, Jones Lang LaSalle will continue to deliver our clients the best results, giving them 'the advantage' in the Western Corridor region whether it relates to office, industrial, data centres, property management or building surveying and fit out advice.”
