Case Study

Dairy Farmers of Great Britain (Asset disposal)

Having previously provided valuation advice on the plant and machinery assets of Dairy Farms of Great Britain when the company was placed into receivership, we were asked by the receivers and managers, PWC, to confirm our valuation opinions for all sites in order to assist with the receivership.
We were subsequently asked by the receivers and managers to arrange the disposal of three of the operating facilities.

Through close dialogue with the client it was decided to dispose of the assets in a variety of ways to achieve the optimum result. The best method of disposal was found to be; two auctions of plant, together with a further two vehicle auctions and also the disposal of a complete dairy at Blaydon in the North East including both the freehold property and all plant on site.

Via the four online auctions and the sale of the complete dairy at Blaydon we succeeded in disposing of all of the required machinery & business  assets at the full market value, raising in excess of £5million.
