Valuation advice to support a successful listing of Camden Markets on the Alternative Investment Market

​JLL's Retail & Leisure Valuation team provided a valuation and report of the Camden Markets property portfolio to assist with a listing of shares on the Alternative Investment Market. The instruction resulted in the client successfully raising £100m to assist with ongoing investment into the portfolio and growth through new acquisitions.

A renowned tourist destination, Camden Markets comprise several distinct areas: Stables Market, Camden Lock Village, Camden Lock Market and Union Street Market. The markets are under single ownership for the first time and together accommodate in excess of 1,000 market stalls. The portfolio includes several development opportunities, the most high profile of which is Camden Lock Village, a large scale mix use commercial and residential development. The current value of the portfolio is in the region of £750m.
