In August 2008, FREO Investment Management held the final close of the FREO Germany Partners II Fund after successfully raising €161 million of aggregate investment from seven institutional investor groups in Europe, Asia and the USA. Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Finance team advised FREO throughout the capital raising process.
FREO Germany Partners II has an opportunistic investment profile and is seeking to achieve a target IRR of 20% (net of all fees and taxes) by the means of the acquisition, asset management and disposal of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets across the main regional markets of Germany.
FREO is a leading investment and asset manager with a focus on the German real estate markets. Since its inception FREO has managed real estate investments worth in excess of €1.4 billion, approximately €500 million of which have been real estate development projects.
Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance worked with FREO Investment Management throughout the capital raising process. Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance assisted in the preparation of the fund marketing materials, conducted initial investor approaches, arbitrated key negotiations with potential investors, delivered the necessary due diligence material and generally drove the process towards a successful close.
Despite increasingly adverse market conditions, Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance were responsible for bringing together a like minded group of some of the most respected institutional investors across the globe.
