Central Link and Central St James, Newcastle

Jones Lang LaSalle advised student provider Downing on the recently completed disposal of their Newcastle student accommodation properties at Central Link and Central St James to the Brandeaux Student Accommodation Fund managed by Liberty Living.

The two properties total 852 bed spaces and 11,000 sq ft of retail.

Central Link opened in 2011 and comprises 520 en-suite bed spaces, 256 of which are subject to an eight year Nomination Agreement with Newcastle University.

Central St James opened in September 2012 and comprises 332 en-suite bed spaces. The price paid for the both properties was in excess of £56 million.
