Ascott Ltd acquires Cavendish Hotel London

Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels were appointed as advisors to offer for sale the substantial and prestigious hotel within St James. The hotel was offered for sale with benefit of vacant possession unencumbered by brand or operator on a long leasehold basis with a lease term of 146 years (150 years from 2008).

In August 2012, The Cavendish Hotel was sold to the Singapore based Ascott Limited for approximately £160m. The sale represents an outstanding conclusion to the investment into The Cavendish hotel by Ellerman Investments Ltd, which originally purchased the property in 2006 and is further evidence of the resilience and strength of the London hotel investment market.
