Role Objectives

​To establish and manage productive relationships between retailers and their head offices, the Centre Management team and onsite staff, the managing agent, asset manager and any town centre retailers. To collect and analyse trading intelligence, Centre performance statistics and other data and ensure that this information is reported regularly to all parties. This should be communicated to the Centre Manager and marketing function in depth to ensure that suitable responses are developed to support retailers and the Centre.

Delivery will be in line with JLL best practice standards to ensure the highest standards of management to the Centre.

The Retail Liaison Assistant will report to and seek direction from the Centre Manager, taking guidance as appropriate and also work in partnership with the contracted marketing agency.

  • ​Management, collection and knowledge of data and information regarding Centre retailer performance.

  • Update the retail reporting system on a weekly basis.

  • Manage and monitor the flow of key indicators from retailers and understand their business needs.

  • Establish a productive relationship with retailers, area managers and head offices to provide them with a regular informative review of trading performance.

  • Provide the Centre Management team with periodic reporting of retail performance and Centre statistics.

  • Collaborate with the Centre marketing agency and retailers to develop consumer facing marketing responses to trading performance.

  • Generally manage Centre communication with the retailers, give support at the quarterly retailer meetings as directed by the Centre Manager, encourage attendance and support the quarterly newsletter and other communication documents for store managers and staff in partnership with the Centre marketing team.

  • Encourage retailer participation in Centre initiatives through the marketing team and assist them to collect feedback after events.

  • Monitor the retailers for lease compliance, champion core trading hours and report to the Centre Manager accordingly.

  • Manage the commercialisation activity in the Centre and ensure high standards of presentation and merchandising at all times.

  • Collate and report car park performance statistics including average spend, dwell times, income and expenditure.

  • With the team prepare and produce the Quarterly Report as required by JLL and the client.

  • Assist the Centre Administrator with banking, reconciliation, statistics, expenditure and general office administration.

  • Assisting the centre management team with inputting of data onto various platforms.

  • Where necessary take on site photos for social media and other events.

Required Qualifications

​Experience Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Retail Management experience would be desirable

  • Must be confident with extensive retail data analysis and trends

  • IT Literate and competent with Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Maths and English GCSE/ O'Level or equivalent
