We Achieve Ambitions

Similar to the sporting world, for a business to thrive and succeed it is a test of stamina and endurance. At JLL we share the steely determination of athletes to push the boundaries of performance and set the pace in the industry.

This is why JLL sponsors and supports talented athletes to help them achieve their next career goal and excel in their chosen field. Former JLL sponsored athletes include triathlete Helen Jenkins, cyclist Geraint Thomas and rower Alan Campbell.

Will Bayley

Will Bayley MBE

Paralympic gold medalist Will Bayley was born on 17 January 1988 in Poole, Dorset with Arthrogryposis, a rare congenital condition which affects all four limbs. From three months old, Will underwent many reconstruction operations at Great Ormond Street Hospital and finally at the age of three was able to walk. At the age of seven he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and it was during his recovery that he began to play table tennis after his grandmother bought him his first table. He is one of Britain's most successful para-table tennis players and is currently ranked world number champion.

We are proud to sponsor this inspirational and talented athlete who won gold and bronze medals at Rio 2016. He was recently awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

Lauren Steadman

Lauren Steadman

Paralympian Lauren Steadman was born on 18 December 1992 in Peterborough and currently resides in Portsmouth where she recently completed her Master’s degree in business.

Lauren was born without a right forearm so competes in the PT4 classification; she is a three time Paralympian after competing at both Beijing 2008 and London 2012 as a swimmer before heading to Rio in 2016 as a triathlete for the sports inaugural entry to the Paralympic games.

Lauren first became interested in triathlons after her triathlete Uncle suggested she had the potential to excel given her strong swimming background. It was a challenge to master the bike and run combination in addition but she enjoyed the challenge.

She entered her first triathlon in 2011 and has since competed and won many para-triathlons. Most notably she has twice been World Champion, five time European Champion and was a silver Olympic medallist at Rio 2016.
